How To: Allow SSH Tunnel into IPCop Web Admin Page

by Jon on March 18th, 2010

I have struggled with remote ipcop administration for a while now but today I was able to find out how to tunnel into the ipcop admin page. Here are the settings you need to do in order to enable it.

1. On the System >> SSH Access. Enable Allow TCP Forwarding by checking off the box.

2. When creating your ssh tunnel set the source port as 1445 and the destination as the green interface ip and port 445.

3. Now open up a web browser and go to https://localhost:1445

Magic you have remote administration capability of the ipcop system. I did this on version 1.4.21 and it should work on all other versions too.
