How To: Install GNUDialer VOIP Predictive Dialer from Script Centos 4

by Jon on November 18th, 2009

Here is a simple script to install GNUdialer predictive dialing application with asterisk and setup the database. All you need to do is install CentOS 4.8, make sure you disable SELinux and then yum the dependencies.

Here are the yum dependencies:

yum -y install curl-devel bind-utils system-config-securitylevel kernel kernel-devel kernel-smp-devel kernel-smp openssl-devel openssl gcc gcc-c++ libtermcap-devel newt-devel ncurses-devel mysql mysql-server mysql-devel mysql-server-devel php-mysql httpd ntp wget screen

Then these command and you are done:

chmod 755 install-gnudialer.txt

This script will go through and install everything for you so you can sit back and wait for it to be done.

    I do not have an update for 1.6 since the gnudialer runs reliably on 1.2 and zaptel. From my experience I would recommend using 1.2 and zaptel.

    what URL can I use to edit the dialer settings???

    • What settings are you trying to edit? There are a lot of settings that can be changed. The ones for the dialer would mostly be in /etc/gnudialer.conf

      If that doesn’t answer your question let me know and I will help you further.

    • Hi Musa,

    Though everything worked smooth while running above scripts on centos 5.5 but when i open the web interface it shows NOT Found page with following further details:
    Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at Port 80

    Seems it wont work for me on centos 5.5 :(
