How To: Untar/Extract a tar.bz2 Archive in Linux

I came across a x.tar.bz2 file the other day and my standard tar -zxf command didn’t work so I found out the switch for a bz2 file is “j” here is an example on how to extract or untar a bz2 archive with tar.

tar -jxf archive.tar.bz2
cd archive/
